Ripple Effect Mandala Crochet Pattern

Create a wall hanging or use it as a traditional doily, the choice is yours with this Ripple Effect Mandala Crochet Pattern.

The Ripple Effect Mandala pattern was inspired by the gorgeous Montana Crochet Lake Sherburn Fingering Weight yarn. The gorgeous sea of blues shine in this rippled, textured pattern.
This pattern is a perfect for a crocheter who is new to mandalas or doilies.

This pattern is a 38 round doily, using US terminology, which makes a 40cm doily.

The pattern includes photo instructions for mounting the doily onto a yarn wrapped hoop to allow the doily to be displayed with pride on your wall.
If you choose to use a larger yarn than fingering weight/sock yarn, your doily will end up larger than 40cm, so I recommend purchasing your hoop after you have completed the mandala.

Materials needed for this pattern:
100gm fingering weight/4 ply yarn (I used Montana Crochet fingering weight superwash merino yarn)
3.25mm hook or equivalent hook for your chosen yarn.
400mm galvanised metal hoop (optional)
